02.26.10

We seek to live a life of worship: We believe that true spirituality is not just information, but entails knowing God relationally and experientially, as well as intellectually. When we worship, we connect with what we were most deeply made for—a relationship with God. Therefore we gather weekly on Sunday, the day Jesus Christ rose from the dead, to worship God and seek to know Him better.

We seek to love each other: We believe that true spirituality is pursued not only individually but also corporately. We are committed to loving each other and encouraging each other spiritually. Our weekly home meetings, as well as other events throughout the week, provide venues for this. We also welcome the skeptical, the curious, and the seeker.

We seek to live a life of service and love in this city: We believe that true spirituality does not just produce words, but action and powerful love—so we serve the people around us. We pitch in and help with volunteer organizations and mercy ministries. We constantly ask ourselves, “What does it mean to live a life of love here and now as a community?” We don’t just love Philadelphia and Philadelphians for what they are now, but hope to be a part of what this city could become.
